Aiden's first week

Aiden's first week has come and gone. He has been a fabulous baby boy. He has only been getting up twice a night, which I am not complaining about at all. We got home Saturday afternoon and Bryan had to leave Monday night for school in Jacksonville. Neither one of us were looking forward to him leaving. I was going to stay with my parents while he was gone. Sunday we spent the day at home and relaxed. I couldn't really do much anyway, because I was still recovering from the C section. As long as I had to meds in me I was fine, but as soon as they wore off I couldn't move.
Monday, Bryan went to work for the morning. He got off around lunch time and we spent the afternoon getting everything ready for me to go to my parents and him to go to Jacksonville. It was interesting packing for myself and a baby. There was SO much stuff!!! Monday afternoon Debbie, Joy and the girls came over to see Aiden. Once they left we went to my parents house. Later Monday night, Bryan left. He drove the three hours while I was at my parents with Aiden. It was the start to a long week without him. I know if it was long for me, it was even longer for him. I had Aiden to take care of, he had himself, school, and a hotel room.
Monday night Aiden did not sleep. I think he was gassy or constipated. Thankfully, the next morning my cousin came over and watched Aiden while I took a nap. I talked to Bryan briefly that morning, but he soon realized he did not have cell phone service while he was at school. So there was no texting or talking except on his morning break, lunch break, and afternoon break. He had a very long Tuesday in class. He hated being there and missed us greatly. His class was over at 4:30 Tuesday. He was dreading having nothing to do for the entire night. So, he decided to drvie home. He drove three hours to see me and Aiden. He spent the evening with us at my parents house. When it was bed time for Aiden (and me) he drove back to Jacksonville. It was a nice surprise, and it was much needed for me after my sleepless night. Tuesday night was much better. Wednesday once again Bryan had no service at the Toyota place, so we didn't get to talk very much. He decided to go see a movie to waste time. (I was thankful, because it was a movie that I did not want to see, so now I don't have to.)Wednesday night was once again another good night. Thursday finally arrived and Aiden and I were ready to see daddy. He left Jacksonville around 1:30 and made it home around 5. I loved staying at my parents house, but it is nice to be back home with my amazing husband.
Aiden had a doctors appointment yesterday, and the doctor was very pleased with how well he is doing. Aiden has had a great week, other than Monday night when his tummy didn't feel so great. Mommy is doing well too. I am starting to get used to waking up twice a night. There are no complaints about Aiden's first week. He has been a wonderful baby. Bryan has been a wonderful daddy also. He is so good with Aiden. (Probably better than me) He is doing anything I am asking him to do. He is the best at swaddeling. (I am still working on it.) He has willingly gotten up with Aiden at night, however I have not been waking him up because he has to work and I don't right now. While I was recovering he made sure I was taking it easy and not over doing it. I know being away so soon after Aiden was born was hard on him, but he has been wonderful and has been making sure that I am taken care of. I love you baby!!!
